Homemade Nut & seed Muesli with fresh seasonal fruit, yoghurt & local raw honey. Local Pork Sausages on a bed of bean cassoulet with a hint of chilli, topped with a poached egg, served with homemade bread. Our famous twice cooked pork belly with honey, soya, ginger and chilli sauce, with homemade apple sauce and cider. Down to Earth open toastie: Three slices of our homemade bread, toasted with tomato mozarella. Freshly prepared daily with a variety of fish bound together with potato, fresh garden spinach, onions, lemon and cream cheese, served with homemade caper lemonnaise served with side salad. Three topping Gourmet pizza prepared on a thin tomato herb and mozarella base. Whether it’s a quiet tea for two, or a function for fifty, Down to Earth is a great place to get together and spread the nostalgia. The lunch menu at Down to Earth just keeps on getting better and has never been fresher! Choose from our freshly picked salads which are grown on site (so they’re guaranteed to be crispy) or go for something meaty like calamari, chicken or fish. Our new breakfast menu is out, and it’s not to be missed. With old favourites galore and new dishes aplenty, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Enjoy salads, fish or steak with delicious treats like brownies or meringue for desert. If you visit Down to Earth and are into hanging gardens, make sure you ask for a table on the verandah overlooking the river. Our wall hanging foliage really is quite beautiful and provides a peaceful environment in which to enjoy your lunch. The kitchen staff and waiters dressed in red to celebrate the occasion and carnations and roses adorned tables, along with red serviettes and chocolates to help diners get into the romantic spirit of the occasion.
